Article 2: Membership
The basis for membership of EFCATS shall be as follows:

Individual researchers interested in catalysis and Institutions such as
Companies, Research institutes, National and European Networks having interest
in promoting catalysis and EFCATS objectives; these individual researchers
and Institution shall formally apply for membership valid for a period of
two years between two consecutive EUROPACAT;

The countries members of the European Federation of Catalysis Society (as
listed in the Appendix); in addition to these countries, other countries or
groups of countries in Europe may be admitted on application by the national
or representative catalysis organisation or other sponsoring body, such as
a national chemical society or academy of sciences. The admission of new countries
or groups of countries should be approved by the Council by a majority of
more than two-thirds of those present and voting. Any dispute arising concerning
national representation on the Council shall be resolved by the Council on
a simple majority vote.
A fee for membership will be requested for personal and institutional membership.
The Council will decide on the amount and modalities for the fee for membership.
