The EFCATS Council is composed of two parts having equal numbers of members
and which shall serve for two years.
The first half is elected by direct voting of all the type a (see Article
2) members, and will be indicated hereinafter as Council members directly
elected.
The second half of the Council, indicated hereinafter as national delegates,
is formed by one member per country or per group of countries, each of these
second type of delegates designated in a written form from the national catalysis
organisation (member of EFCATS, type b in Article 2) which they are representing.
Alternates duly approved by the national organisations may attend in place
of their representative.
Members of the Council directly elected cannot be also national delegates and
one country or Institution cannot be represented by more than 3 members in the
Council.
