Research topics:
The main activity of the group during several years concerned the synthesis, characterization and reactivity studies of inorganic, organometallic and intermetallic compounds of f-elements. More recently, we began to study the reactivity of the synthesized compounds towards small molecules such as CO2 and CH4 (carbon dioxide activation, methanol and / or carbonates production; C-H activation and conversion in methanol)

Techniques and Instrumentation:
a) Homogeneous Catalysis : Batch studies (maximum pressure 250 bar), Analysis by GC, IR, NMR, elemental analysis CHN, FTICR/MS (Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry)
b) Heterogeneous Catalysis : Implementation of facilities for continuos gas-solid catalytic studies at atmospheric pressure and thermal characterization (TPR, TPD) are in progress.
